I wanted to get your opinions about the black body moldings on the side of some trucks! I have them and want to take them off. I was just wondering if any of you have done it, if so what did you use, are they on there with double sided tape or clips or what. if you have done it, do you have pics? Thanks in advance!

I just heated one end up with a hairdryer, then started yanking them off. They peel right off pretty easy. You just need some goof off or even alcohol to clean off the adhesive left behind.

Goof off didn't affect my paint at all. Just make sure you wipe it all off and use some cleaner to make sure its off the paint. You can even get the adhesive off with WD-40. Its pretty harmless to your paint as well. Plus you can use a soft cloth and some windex to clean the oily residue off.

Took them off my wife's 2002
Used GooGone for the residue

Looks a lot better

They are OK on the later models that are body colored but the dark color was ugly
