Ive got a 94 ram cummins 12v, and when started cold there is blue smoke coming from the exhaust. this didnt seem to happen during the summer but now in the colder fall and coming into winter its happening more often. when the truck is warmed up it seems to go away. is this a cause for concern or is this normal operation?? thanks

How many miles are on the motor and what weight oil is in it?

326000 km, and 15w-40 for oil. perhaps it is unburned fuel since its always cold when it does this, starting to get chilly here in canada overnight. any thoughts? never does this when warm.

I think you nailed it with the cold temperatures, maybe it'll improve when the winter blends are in the tanks.
