I have an 06 2500 4x4 Qc (diesel), just installed top gun 2" spacers with
bilstein 5100 shocks yesterday. Just wondering if I missed something on
the shocks they are not as long as the stock shocks when I compared
the two. Did I miss a step on install, when I took the band off it pretty much
just fell off and no pressure. I installed the shocks and they ride very bad,
on the way to work today the truck was hopping all over the interstate.
It reminded me of when I used to have a lowered ram.
Any ideas?

Where did you get your shocks from?

The bisltein 5100 series shocks for our trucks come for 0"to 2" of lift, they should fit perfectly on your truck.

All of my Bilsteins definitely pushed out once I cut the band. Extended, they should be at least the same as stock.

I got them from Top Gun Customz(p/n BE5-6681-H5)
I started to second guess that I should have done something to
release the shock, like it was locked done for shipping.

Check out this link with Bilstein part numbers. I don't even see the ones you have listed for a Dodge. They show them for a 03-05 F250/350 with 4"lift. And that sorta makes sense. The ford shocks with comparable lift are shorter.

Something's not right the shocks are bad, I have installed Bilstein's before and they are very high pressure, there is nothing but the band to release the pressure, take'm back.

i just looked at the ones i get from kore and they are the same part# but its a 6646 instead of the 6681...ive had trouble with bilsteins being miss pkgd before, the same thing happened they were for a ford..the length was good but the lower mounting bushing was half the size of the ones needed for a dodge

Me too. My first set for the rear were totally wrong. Package had the correct number (14" travel version) and inside the boxes was one with 8" travel standard and one with 8" and a reservoir. How do you screw up this bad was what I was screaming
