I just recently bough a 99 Dakota SLT and was wondering what is the best performing and sounding exhaust for it? Its a 5.2L automatic. Also should i go with a complete exhaust or just get one from the Cat back?

good question, letme ask one.

what are your goals and plans for your motor? single or tru dual set up?

shorty headers and a or/set of Hooker Aero chambers will do ya good for lots of configs, and is the most economical for a realatively stock motor

change to a set of mid or long tube headers for a few hundred more and your options go further for power adders, spray, cams, ect

MBRP and Magnaflow are a good for a cat back set up.

Ok thanks. The only things that will be done to this truck performance wise anytime soon will be an intake of some sort and whichever "dual" exhaust everyone recommends.

Well if you plan on ANY brand of header's, keep in mind the offset of the engine & the extra heat on the upper A- arm bushing's & everything else on the pass side???
