Hello,

This post should be fairly simple to some.. and probably sound a little idiotic.. But I am rebuilding a rear end for my truck and I have a stupid question.. but How do you remove the axles?

Please help

Thank you,

Then entire axle assembly or just the shafts?
To pull the shafts, jack up the truck, pull tires and drums off, pop off the diff cover, Push in the axle shaft inward a bit and pull the C clip. The shaft will slide out then. Repeat for the opposite side

I want to remove everything.. the differential and the shafts.. The shafts must be removed first before the differential, right? I am just cleaning up everything and putting in a posi unit and new shafts..

Yep, you have to pull the shafts before you can pull the carrier and ring gear
