Hey guys I have recently installed a set of alpine speakers, and now I'm ready for a sub, I'm thinking about getting one 10 or 12 inch kicker and was wondering if i could install it and keep my stock head unit. or do i need a custom head unit in order to listen to the sub. thanks

I think you can do it with the stock unit, but you probably need an amp with speaker level inputs. My advice is get another head unit, harness, mounting kit, wiring kit, sub, and amp and put them in. You could always call somewhere like crutchfield and see what they say, they have great customer service.
