So I dont mean to brag, but my 05 2500 quad cab has the stock cassette/CD player with the infinity sound.
I was good with leaving well enough alone until I started having some audio issues. Rear Driver side speaker doesnt work at all, front driver side speaker it sounds like only the woofer is working, and dash tweeter sounds fine.
Either way its a good time to upgrade to that double din Blaupunkt unit I've been eyeballing, but with budgets and all, I'd like to pin down the issue, because Id like to get that fixed before buying a new head unit and find out something else is messed up.
With that, I was thinking maybe the head unit's channels have gone faulty? maybe the amp? Maybe the speakers are shot?
I haven't torn into the door yet, because it's still 30 degrees out, but was wondering if anyone has run into a simular situation and what your fix is?
Also, wondering if anyone has an idea what size speakers go in there? I saw in one thread, 6x9s in the front but the grill is round.

If you or a friend has a radio laying around, buy a $15 connector and wire it up to check where the problem might be. If your set on the Blaupunkt, great. If not, an Alpine 650 is nice and going for $360 right now.

check the boot from the door and the cab of the truck. there might be a break on the wire there. I've seen it happen alot. I've been installing car audio for over 15 years. hope that helps.
