If you are having a problem connecting the updater to the internet, there is a fix. You must uninstall the updater you have now and download and install the new one from BullyDog. Somebody hacked into BullyDogs server and messed up their updater. You need the new version, you can't just update the old one. This is right from Buddy Kratz, the engineer that designed the programmers.
