Hey all-

I want to get new tires and I'm wondering how 31's look on the factory 15s. I might have to hold off until i can do rims and tires, but if they look ok, i'll go for it...so if you have any pics, please post 'em

Thanks
Kai

My stock wheels are 15x7 and with my stock 235-75's it looks like on sitting on training wheels. Will the 32x11.50s fit on 15X7s? I've been thinking about doing the torsion lift also. If you have any pics, I'd love to see them...

the 235/75 15's come out to be about a 28 in tire dont they? quite a bit smaller than the 31's. 33's are the way to go .

do the torsion/shackle lift first, then decide if u really want the body lift. the shackle torsion is about 50 bux and gives 2 inches of suspension lift, whereas the body lift is about 200 bux and 3 inches of body. i dont normally mind the body lifts, but on durangos i think they look kind of weird, cuz you can actually see the mounting brackets, not just the frame.

Maybe I have bad info, but someone told me that my stock wheels that came on a 2000 Durango Sport 4x4 4.7 were 15X7. cbrenn71, my wheels look exactly like yours. Are yours 15x7 or 15x8? Is there a way to check the width of a rim with the tire on it?? I'd love to do the torsion/shackle lift and put 32x11.50s on, but every tire I see needs a 15x8 rim. Somebody help me out...

Dude i have the stock 15 x 7 's and i have 32 / 11.5 / 15 's wrapped around them. I been tryin to get pics up but it wont work. Tell me how to get the pics up and i can show u pics of my D stock with 31's and then with the Torsion/Shackle on 32's. Just let me know....

TheKai- i believe mine are 15x8. dont hold me to it. i went looking for 33's today, because my tires look horrible with the torsion/shackle lift. i was told i can put up to a 11-12.5 inch tire by more than one dealer.

according to this link:

you and I have 15x7's cbrenn. I know they make 33x10.50s for that rim size, but the 32x11.50s won't fit, they need a 15x8. Make sure you double check your dimensions before buying anything...

for some reason my front looks a lot higher than yours. how many cranks did u take your's? i went from 34 1/4'' from the ground to center of tire/bottom of wheel well. I played around with the bars for about an hour, and thought it looked best when i was sitting at 36 1/8''. so i got 1 7/8 inches out of the torsion bars. still could have when more, but i didn't think it looked much better, and i didn't want to take it to the extreme

second thought, it's prolly the tires. my tires look like spares comepared to yours.

yea, my dad and i did 7 turns on the T-bars cbrenn71. Looks great, really even. Back is only about a quarter inch higher than the front, but i HATE it when a lifted truck/suv leans back. Id much rather have my Suv lean only a smige forward. The tires are great, this thing is frekin awesome off road. This lift was perfect because it raises your frame, its like a 2 inch suspension lift for 50 dollars . People who do a 3 in body lift and 33's may look bigger, but i have much more clearance than them. I am very satisfied, hope yall like the pics. Any suggestions for my next mods???
