Antenna Question

139 Views 5 Replies 3 Participants Last post by  nebraska51
My truck has an antenna that is through the roof. I want the thing off of there, but there is a hole. Any ideas on how to take it off and cap or fill that hole? I even thought about clipping the antenna but that would look silly. I dont want that little stinkin thing, im gettin some whips.

There should be a nut under the headliner that holds the antenna base. As for the hole you should be able to get a plug from the local auto parts store and some clear RTV. Put some RTV around the plug groove and snap it in the hole. Hope that helps you.
weld in a piece of metal , grind welds, prime fill and paint.
I've heard from a lot of dodge owners to not pull down the headliner, and to have a professional do it? Any thoughts about that?
why? removing the headliner takes like 2 mins.
i dont know, i've just heard not to. I've never done it or needed to until this point. Looks like i'll give it a try. Thanks for the help.
