I replaced my motor in a 1996 dodge 1500 4x4, after I hooked everything up I turned the key, the fuel pump kicked in for 3 seconds I tried cranking the engine over and it would not fire. After making sure all conections and grounds were connnected and still would not fire now the fuel pump does not come on when key is turned to the on position. I changed the crank sensor on the back of the motor and the pick up underneath the distributor and no power to the coil. I talked to seven local mechanics and they all said the same to check all ground connections, just wondering if it could be in the computer.

Was the truck outside with the hood off ? If so maybe pull the under hood relays and fuse and look for signs of a poor connection. Just a thought.
