AirRam Installation Questions

Hello Fellow DT'ers,

I bought a used AirRam CAI from a fellow DT'er that was originally on a 4.7 and I am putting it on a 5.7 I have a couple of questions.

(1) When you plug in the air temp sensor/power wire, where do you
put it? There is a place in the intake hose for the oil breather
hose in the back and some other kind of device at the bottom
that my best guess is a drain in case you suck up water maybe.
Anyway where do you put the Air Temp Sensor?

(2) How do you secure the pipe to the side of the engine
compartment?

Pictures would be nice. Thank you all in advance.

Hi Nick,

I have the "L" bracket, but can not figure out where to mount it? Also the plug on the bottom back of the intake tube is for the Air Temp Sensor right? Thanks in advance.

In many of our older AIR RAM systems we had installed air temperature sensors... if yours has one then all you need to do is plug the "PLUG END" of the POWER WIRE into the sensor and then the to prong ends into the grey plug... real simple. If your going from a 5.7L to a 4.7L or vise versa then you will need approximately 6" of 1/2" heater hose, 6" of 5/8's heater hose and a 1/2 to 5/8th adaptor... all can be found at Auto bone or most auto parts stores.

The 4.7L uses a 1/2 PCV hose.
The 5.7L uses a 5/8 PCV hose.

Im sure you can figure the rest out from there.
