We have a 99 Grand Caravan. We are looking at replacing our 3rd ABS pump. Has anyone else had this problem? Is it truly the ABS pump or could there be another solution to the light coming on shortly after another pump is installed. The first pump was replaced when the van was 2 years old, the second was replaced when it was 3 and now this one claims to be not functioing.

Whoever's making the diagnosis of ABS pumps is missing something. Either they are misdiagnosing the problem (like, it could be a bad sensor at one of the wheels), or, if these pumps really are bad, they're failing to find what's making them go bad.
Also, if you're assuming that the ABS light on your dashboard indicates a bad pump, that's wrong. The light only comes on to tell you that ABS is not activated. That could be caused by any of about 50 things, even something as simple as a blown 69-cent fuse.
This calls for a professional, but probably not the one you've been using.
