Hey i have a 1996 Dodge Ram 1500 5.2L. I bought it about two months ago and everything has been going fine until the check engine light came on. It still runs and sounds fine, but i have silver bullets on it so it snaps reaal good, but around 1900 rpm or lower it stops snapping then after 2 grand it starts snapping again. it sort of sounds like someone put their hand over the tip, its got me worried haha. i was thinking that maybe the timing is off or if i swapped the plugs out maybe that would help but if anyone can help me i greatly appreciate it!!

What is silver bullets? When the check engine light is on goes in a back up mode it will run off a preset program. The sensors are not being used so it will run fine. Not like it was designed to it might run a little rich as it is usually safer to run a little rich than lean.
