So I want to convert my 2x4 to a 4x4 and my boss is giving me his stock coilovers off his 2005 f-150 4x4 and I still need to find a front axle. What steering box should I use since this is a rack and pinion front end? And for transfer case I think I'm going to use a ford divorced case. Since it is an extended cab short bed I shouldn't have to worry about the rear driveline. Any advice from anyone that has done a solid axle swap?

If you run a search on solid axle swaps both in this Dak section and the 1st Gen Durango section you'll find a ton of info!

I know nothing beats doing the work yourself, but to go from 2 to 4wd I'd shop around for a similar truck at a yard and use it for parts.

The only thing I might think of doing different is if I find another trans with a t-case then I won't have to fab up a divorced case
