I've recently replaced the front shocks on my truck but it still seems to be riding a bit rougher than it used to. Do the front springs wear out on these trucks and all cars for that matter?

The only way the spring could be the problem is if they are bottoming out out and that would be very rough and obvious. Perhaps the tires are almost out of tread or different ones than before?

Tires are in good shape. I am wondering if the steel washers that came with the shocks should have been put on the other side of the connecting location. I thought I followed manufacturers instruction however they were a bit vague and had a lousy drawing.

My thought on the tires was that rubber get stiffer and harder over time and less tread also is less cushion.
The shocks, usually go with one washer on the shock first the rubber, then through the bracket, then rubber, then washer and nut.
