I have a couple of questions regarding my van above:

1) When starting cold, there's a noise that comes from the engine area when backing up or going forward. It doesn't seem to make the noise when idling at start up...only when you put into gear and start to drive. After a couple of minutes...maybe seconds...the noise goes away. I tried to spray the idler and tensioner with a lubricant to see if it was one or both of those. It still making the noise...but I'm thinking they may be the culprit. Any other ideas??

2) My thermometer on the info center panel is reading OC. In the manual, it indicates it will read this if it's either extremely cold or hot....haven't experienced that kind of cold here in South Dakota as of yet!! I have seen it give some flukey readings both summer and winter at times. I've read on another forum that the sensor is located in the front grille area, but I've not been able to locate it yet. Is it under the hood or visable from the outside? Would it be tucked behind the license plate holder?

Any help to these questions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!
