i have a 96 extended cab with the cummins in it. my rear leaf spring broke and i hate the way this thing rides. i was thinking of doing a new suspension like the Soft ride lift kit? any one have any ideas? or anything they have used for aftermarket suspension? i don't want big maybe 2-3 inches of lift but don't really need any. i would like to stay around grand but tell me what you think?

You can check super lift or sky jacker,one those has soft ride springs.As I recall the rear leaf springs were around $800,not sure if they come with the u-bolts.Also remember you got a 2500,they are for towing and hauling loads.They ride stiff when they are not loaded,could also try running load range D-tires if you don't tow or haul heavy loads.8 ply instead of E-load 10 ply,they aren't as stiff.
