my truck has a 3.9v6 in it now and i was wondering if the sam year 318 engine will bolt to my auto transmission?

Yes. The V-6 is a 318 with 2 cylinders lopped off.

drop in a 360 for some real power . no replacement for displacement . unless you have a 42rh tranny dont think it would hold up very well to a v8 .
