95 ram 2-3 upshift problems

Hi all. Sorry for the long post folks.
My 95 Ram with the 5.2L and 2wd is doing something wier. Last year I sent it to the Dominican Republic so that I wounldn't have to rent when I go there on vacation. I used it all of december with no problems, but now I went back in july and it has this sort of "kick" when it shifts from 2-3 and only on that particular shift. Downshifts are fine and so is 1-2, 3-overdrive. The force of the kick is dependent on throttle application, under light throttle is almost imperceptible but the more I press the gas the more I feel it, is as if the band that's activating 2 gear lets go too soon or the one that gives You 3rd gear is engaging to late. RPM's do not spike up when this happens so I'm assuming there's no slippage. Can anybody help. :help:

On a side note, has anyone also had a problem where most times You start the truck and the speedometer, tachometer, temp and oil press gages are all dead but the gas gauge works and the overdrive switch is dimmly lit and that little triangle that comes on when the overdrive is off is actually on, then all of a sudden everything starts to work again after about 30 minutes and the 2 little lights go off. Has this happened to anyone?

anyone with the same problems?
Maybe won't fix the tranny but would change your speed sensor on top of the differential as a start. Wierd things happen when they are going bad. Hmm- might fix the shift prob. HTH
