Hey, my odometer just quit turning on my ram. Speedo still works, but not the odometer. Does one end of the cable plug into the tranny? I'm going to check there first, I really don't want to go taking my dash all apart yet.

In '92 your speedo is electronic...no cable. Sounds like there's a problem directly in the Speedo head.

Humm..... looks like I'll have to go into the dash and check it out. Why does the speedo work and not the odometer? Seems like they should be connected. I guess I'm just used to the cable type. Is there any other place I should look that would cause the odometer to stop?

I've never had one apart, but I would imagine that the electrical signal from the speed sensor in the transmission causes the speedo to function and in turn there could some small gears that drive the odometer.
