I brought that up to the dealer back when I bought my 06. They weren't making Daytonas anymore and a SRT-10 was too much. If there was such a thing as a SRT-8 I would deffinately bought one.

I have dreamed of an SRT-6. Look just like a SRT-10 but with a cummins stuffed in it and one slash cut smoke stack out the bed.

I think the 6.1 should of at least been an option for the 2500 trucks in place of the 5.7. The Chevy's have the 6.0 in there 3/4 tons, I have one in my work truck, it is a great motor. The 6.1 with different tuning and heads could have made a big difference in the durability of the 3/4 ton trucks. Now maybe they could throw the 6.4 in them since the 6.1 is going away, we can dream can't we?

You could always buy the motor and make your own like a few members have done.

If I'm spending that kind of money on a truck I want the motor in the truck already.

I think the numbers on the 6.1 are impressive, but I wouldnt ever want one in my truck. I don't think I would ever see the durability that I want out of it.
