Is it really a performance upgrade or just for looks?

So I have heard, because they dont have output wires, they are designed to fire both plugs at the same time without the slight delay a 5.7 coil would with shorties. I have heard because they were designed for it though, the spark is stronger. Heard this from a local guy that claimed they helped. Dont think he ever had a before/after dyno or time run though.

i do have to say its alot cleaner under my hood than my buddys with the 03 and all his wiring!! only bad thing is the valve covers are plastic and i was hoping to powdercoat mine HEMI orange oh well

You valve covers are plastic?

On HemiWoods(The pic above) the valve covers had a wrinkle finish but were still metal. They kind of have a plastic look to them, but they were metal. Have you taken a coil off to see if they were metal. The mounting point should look metalic or the inside lip of the hole where the plug goes into the head would also look like normal metal....
