OK I got 6.1 cam on it's way and hope to install this weekend.I have read alot
about the install but have a few questions. I have cam lube and silicone gasket in the tube. Will I need any other gaskets, and are there any torque
specs for bolts I need to know about?

Thanks..

You need a factory manual for all the torque specs and such. Click here and download the manual. You won't need any gaskets, but you will need an impact to remove the crank bolt and cam bolt. Harbor freight has a descent electric impact that works great for $50, I bought it at their store for $40. http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/ctaf/displayitem.taf?Itemnumber=45252 I learned from 03ramit1 to use a little RTV where the block, pan, and front cover meet. I also used a little assembly lube on the crank pully when I reinstalled it. Good luck!!

These are the specs I have for the 6.1, 210, and 260. The specs for the 210/260 are correct, but I'm not 100% sure how accurate the 6.1 specs are....
AC Grind 6.1
0.541"/0.528" lift
208/211 duration
at 0.050" lift 114 degree LSA

XFI 260 Hemi
208/212-522/525 LSA 113

KRC 210 Hemi
210/214-523/526 LSA 112

According to those specs I really don't see much any improvement over the 6.1. especially the 260...BUT like I said I'm not 100% sure those 6.1 specs are correct.

I wish a Harbor Freight was near me. :( I went to my first one when we installed Freds Cam. Nearest one to me is like 1 hr away.

The 6.1 specs are impressive... Lift is great and duration is decent but it is the lobe seperation angle that is killing it. The 210, with a tighter lsa will have considerably more power and will also reduce vacuum levels as opposed to the 6.1

Lets do it Sunday....be here at 7:00 AM. Bring your cam, crank bolt, enough coolant, bag of floor dry, and I'll get the puller Saturday night from Autozone.
I think I already have everything else from when we did mine.
