Hi, I have a 99 Ram 1500 with a 5.9 Magnum. The truck runs well sometimes but sometimes has a misfire and will backfire out the exhaust. The truck is down on power and the misfire happens at lower rpms and it makes the truck fall on its face. The motor is built with a Comp xr265hr-14 cam, mopar m1 4bbl to 2 bbl efi intake. 10.1 compression. Heavily ported stock heads with stock valves, mopar springs and retainers good for .600 lift. and Crower lifters 1.6 roller rockers. It also has headers going into an x pipe and three inch duals. I replaced the 02 sensor but it didn't help the issue at all. I am getting multiple codes, all for misfires. The check engine light will flash when it misfires and the. Go away. Any thoughts on what could be the issue? I'm thinking the coil may be at fault and will look into it tomorrow. Any other suggestions? Also, could a coil cause intermittent misfires? Thanks
