I have a 1997 Ram 1500 SLT Laramie Extended Cab 4x4 360cid. I was wondering if a set of 305/70/16's would fit on the stock rims? They are a shiny wide slanted 5 spoke style, 16's. I'm unsure of the rim width, but from what I've read 8" sounds right. A 295/75/16 might fit a little better, but I like wide! :D

Anyone?

Your stock steel rims are 7"s wide.

305's will fit, but they will buldge from the rim. this will create some potential uneven tire wear. 305's really need 8-10" wide wheels. i prefer 8.
