3 lights under tailgate and above license Plate on 06 Dually

I was driving behind a 2006 3500 Dually the other day. I noticed that the lights that used to be in the tailgate were now in a new location. I think this is a change for 2006. They were centered under the tailgate and just above the license plate. I looked on my 2500 and found two square holes centered and to the left of the hole to the spare tire crank. I'm assuming this is where the light mounts on a 3500. Does anyone have any more to add on this. I'd like to add this light to my truck and need the part number.
Thanks for the help.

It was actually a change during '06 I believe. Earlier 06 duallys had the regular bar the the tailgate and the later 06s have the new thing. Thats what those holes are for I'm guessing. I put a look alike 3 light red bar on my tailgate and my 1/2 ton had a spot already there for the wiring to go through under the tailgate.
i tried puttin one on my truck but the gate wouldn't open, so I thought about gettin one from a GM, but I am at a loss.

I added small flat lights on the back of mine so I will conform to the law when I have my trailer gate on. I put another light plug on them so when I put my regular gate on just the gate lights work and you can hardly see the other ones.

Looks pretty good... but if you're gonna buy one of those from the dealer, I recommed the PlasmaGlow Fire & Ice light bar. Acts as a brake light, turn signals and backup lighting.
Those look like the ones from the GM's, Thanks guys!
Anybody know the Dodge part# for this light bar

I want one of these for my '06. I went to the dealer and they could not find it on any of their parts databases. The parts girl told me if I could find a truck with one, she could look it up by VIN and get the part number. no luck finding one yet. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks! [email protected]
Yep, I finally solved the dilemma.
The light bar part number is
55277299AA
Online pricing is around $41.00 plus shipping and dealer wanted $57.70. This is the light that mounts to the two square holes just to the left of the hole (access) to crank down the spare tire. I could not find a factory two wire plug in the harness anywhere around the back of the truck (I was hoping to find the factory plug normally used on the dually). So I spent $1.99 and wired the running light using a standard trailer 4-flat and the plugged it into the receptacle under the bumper and near the trailer hitch cross bar. I meant to take a few pics and post all this info with the pics... Hopefully, by the end of the weekend I can take a few. We're headed camping is a few hours. One other thing, the light didn't come with any mounting screws. I went to home depot and got a couple #8 bolts and washers. Worked great. One other warning... If you ask the parts counter to print the picture of the part, it still shows the old light that was up in the middle of the tailgate. I guess they haven't updated their graphics relating to 06-07 truck parts.
