I have a Dakota with 3.9. For the second time, the bottom cover of my intake manifold is leaking. I will get a new gasket set but what else can be done to make sure this thing stays sealed??? SHould I use RTV or some other sealer??? Or just bolt on dry gasket??? Any help???

Get a flashlight and look down inside the plenum via the throttle body...of course you'll need to hold the thottle open to do this. If you see any evidence of oil puddling up inside then you need to do your plenum gaskets.

The other way to check it, which takes out some guesswork is to pull your pvc valve and breather out of there holes with the engine running and plug the holes in the valve covers with your fingers. If there is vaccum then the pan is leaking. If there is pressure buildup all is well.
