Recently purchased a 01 1500 sport the truck has 285 75 15 tires does this model normally sit this high or has it been lifted at some point?

look in your door jamb for the tire size decal I know the 4x4s came with 17" unsure about 2wd.. either way the 285/75r15 is a 32" tall tire and once you what size tire came stock you can compare if it is sitting higher due to tire size or if there is a suspension/ body lift

Just look at the suspension. Or take pictures of it if you don't know what you're looking at.

And 01's came with 16's IIRC, unless there were dealer options for 17's. But you can fit 285/75r15 without a lift. My factory size was 265/75r16, so you're only a little taller and wider.

typing mistake on my part meant 16s not 17s above..
