Let me start with the story of my 2017 Caravan GT. I brought this car used about 7 months ago. had it at 92,000 KM's drove it to 115,000 KM's now we are in Canadian Winter. The car itself was sold with a Rebuilt title due to a frontend collision.

1st problem, within the first month. Around August 2021
The Van worked fine except for a the fan was not working and would over heat motor. Brought it back to the Used Car Dealer and they fixed the issue.

2nd problem, one of the Rear Caliper Seized. Around Feb 2nd 2022
The 2nd problem happened very recently. One of the Rear Caliper seized. Towed my into a new shop as it was close to my house. Both Calipers are fixed now.

3rd problem, a week later, Current Problem. (I did take it to a mechanic and they have no clue said to take it to the Dealership).
I have a monthly car wash pass so any chance I get I would take it for a wash. The next morning found out the car battery died. Got a new battery and replaced it myself. The car worked fine it seem until I got home and noticed the car wouldn't shut off. I was very confused so decided to disconnect the battery to shut it off and look for an answer the following day. Got one of those cheap OBD2 scanner, received a code, U0141. The code basically says there's a short somewhere. I looked for any ground wires near where I found soap spots in the engine bay, found 2 ground connections near the soap spots. Unbolt them and sand them up, didn't solve problem. What I did noticed is there is wires leading form the interior of the car possibly from the dashboard to the engine bay near the battery and the 2 ground wires. The wires itself seem as if it was wrapped with just electrical tape and not sealed from water properly. My theory is somehow water got into the wire and shorted something. My thoughts are possibly the BCM is shorted but I can't be certain. Anyone with similar problem?

I believe it has to do with electrical signal from the ignition to the battery not being able to reporting it has turned off. I had a car wash as one of the automatic soft touch washes. It could be related that soap or water must of penetrated some wiring within the engine bay or a ground wire is corroded.

As for the Tail brake lights, I turned on the Hazards and it will Flash just won't turn off.

If anyone can shine some light into this issue it will be very helpful. Thanks you
Hi I have a 2013 Dodge Caravan, about a year ago my electric windows wouldn't go down, then they wouldn't go up, the car would not turn off, kind of like what you said and other lights wouldn't go on, then they'd go on, everything electrical WAS going crazy and what I found out was that my tipm was shorted and so I replaced it, I found one at a wrecking yard, 50 bucks they are plug-and-play , put the use one in and everything has been working for the past year no problem at all not saying that your problem but that was my problem. good luck stay safe.
