I have a 2008 Dodge Grand Caravan 2WD 6 Cylinders X 4.0L FI SOHC 241 CID. Recently while driving into the driveway the car died. It posted a camshaft sensor code. Replace it and the crank sensor. No luck in starting led to further investigation and the discovery that the water pump seized and shredded the timing belt.
So now I'm left with either a timing belt and water pump replacement, or according to the research IF it has an INTERFERENCE engine, an entire engine replacement. I'm hopeful that it DOESNT have an interference engine based on the cost.
But I'm finding conflicting reports and no precise determination whether it has an interference engine or not. Can anyone provide any insight??
