I have a 2005 GC, heres the problem. I'll be driving, parked, its random. All of a sudden all my gauges drop like the van is off and anything related to the computer fails, IE a/c etc. dodge dealer has tested while its working fine and when the problem occurs and can't figure it out. When the prob occurs and he hooks it up to the comp. it says no communication. He told me the whole van depends on one main bus for the computers to work, anything takes the bus down you've lost all computer communication and thiers no redundancy, sort of like series wiring in christmas tree lights(correct me if I'm wrong). Who would build a system that prone to failure? hes says the 06's won't have that prob as if that will help me, lol. Anyone have something similar happening?

Not having this problem, but the dealer called the other day and said to get the van in for a "computer update." Might be the same thing.

I have a '99 Dodge Grand Caravan and I have the same thing happening. It is intermittent like you said and it seems if you "hit" the upper dash they might pop back on at times. Took the dash apart and now more confused. Seems if the entire speedo box, etc is disconnected, the back wipers and the overhead console work, but as soon as you connect the two, it bleeps back out! Let me know if you solve your problem, so I might have an idea of wat is causing it!

Glad to hear I'm not the only one who has this problem. Sounds exactly like our problem. Mine's a 05 CG STE. It's happened twice. Both times when the wife is ~250 miles out of town. She took it to the local dealer in Riverside, CA. First time they replaced the body control module, worked fine for two weeks, then it did it again this week. The dealer contacted STAR which I assume is a Dodge help desk. No good answers this time just reset the vehicle and sent us on her way. When she gets back we'll take it to the local daler here in "Lost Wages" and see what gives. Any info on repairs that clear this problem are welcome!!!

We have a 2003 Grand Caravan that is doing the same type thing and we have been told that it must be the computer and that we will have to replace the computer. I have seen several other similar posts on this site and others and no one seems to have a definite answer. This does not seem to unique to your 2005. I'll be watching to see if you get any other posts and if we get a definitive answer, I'll post it. Good luck.
