Do you need the entire center part of the dash or just the removable part in the very center that goes around the radio and heater controls? I replaced that part with a silver one so I have the original black bezel. This is the part that has the tabs melted on the rear to install. Can get you a picture if this sounds like what you are looking for.

Yes I only need the part you are referring to. I believe i would have to melt the tabs off of mine and glue a new bezel in.

Here is a picture. My truck is an 05, 02-05 are the same. I took this out when almost new and installed a silver one that I got from a guy on here.

The second picture shows where it is held to the front. You have to take a drill bit on most of the round tabs and gently drill the melted part away. There are also 3 small tabs at the bottom of the picture. They are a PITA, very weak. The part that was melted broke off on one but the whole thing would need to be glued anyway to reinstall. Lots of guys do it. Not sure what they are using but I would probably get some of the automotive Goop as it is pretty strong and flexible.
