This is an an intermittent problem and a week or so ago when I noticed the rear brake on the driver's side was smelling and getting the wheel hot I ordered a brake caliper and I was going to replace it tomorrow. Then this afternoon I had to use the truck and when I parked it my wife said she smelled the brakes on her side of the truck and sure enough the rear brake was not hot on the rear passenger side and the driver's side wasn't hot. So it apparently doesn't appear like a new caliper is going to fix the issue. What could be wrong?
