Hi Guys,

I’m not very mechanical and looking for some help here.

I have a 2012 Ram 1500 Laramie Quad Cab. It has 50K miles on it and it is time for new tires. I’d like to level the truck and add some 34” tires. As much as I would love to go nuts on lifting the truck, it is my daily driver and I still need it to fit into most parking garages. I do not haul a lot and rarely tow our boat with it. I am just looking to give it more of a beefier stance and remove the factory rake.

So here are my questions:

1.) Considering the Ready Lift 2.5” Leveling Kit with UCA. From I have read, there has been issues with ball joints separating from UCA after leveling the truck. If I add this kit and new UCA, should I expect a huge decrease in ride quality? Will this kit cause other issues mechanically, like UV join failures?

2.) I’m also considering adding 34.5” BF Goodrich All-Terrain T/A K02 tires (LT285/65R20) on the factory 20” wheels. Do I need to add wheel spacers? According to ReadyLift, I can go up to a 35” tire with this kit.

3.) Should I be adding new shock absorbers when I have the level kit installed?

Thanks for your help and please let me know if I am missing anything.
