I have a 1999 dodge ram 3500 van with the 360 in it. The tranny is an A516. I had a pretty bad torque converter shudder and it finally threw the check engine light.

I swapped out the converter with a new (reman) one, put it all back together and now it won't move at all. It is not pumping any fluid into the torque converter and also, the reverse lights stay on while in park, reverse, and neutral. They go out when you shift to D, 1, or 2.

Does anyone have any ideas on what could be the problem with it? thanks

Maybe it was never a bad TC to begin with. Also, if the reverse lights are on while in park, then your neutral safety switch should also have disabled the starter from working. It does sound like you've got a problem with the shifter arm either externally or internally to the tranny.
