Hello,
I have recently relocated from S.W. Florida to N.E. Ohio and have discovered that my HVAC provides a minimum amount of interior heat; just enough if the fan is at maximum. I am in the process of troubleshooting and decided to post for suggestions. My engine is a 3.9L V6. The cooling system has been flushed, including the engine block via the left and right drain plugs, and I have no cooling issues. I purchased the vehicle used and don't know the degree value of the thermostat. I intend to back flush the heater core, weather permitting, having discovered through the Internet that debris buildup in the core is a common issue. However, I am curious as to the proper operation of the radiator fan clutch and a testing procedure to determine if the clutch is a problem.
Thx,
Walt

I doubt the fan clutch is at fault. It sounds like the heater core is either plugged up or is bad. i had the same problem with my '92 before the tran went out:(
