Hello all, I just got a 1989 b250 that needed a "map sensor" we all know how that goes, I have replaced every electronic on this engine trying to fix the surge it has under light acceleration. It also does when you are pulling up to a stop sign, red light etc. I replaced the coolant temp sensor and forgot to plug it back in, I realized then that unplugged it runs much much better. ( Still not perfect) I do not think I got a bad sensor, because the new and old act exactly the same. My dilemma is this: is the van running very lean due to an existing condition, and unplugging the CTS richens it up enough to run? Or is it a problem in wiring or ecu? Thank you for any input.
