My daughters transmission indicator needle on the instrument cluster broke.... or at least something like a spring broke inside. I did find a replacement cluster at the local junkyard that has this functional. I am thinking about just replacing that part of the cluster, but I did not want to try to tear it apart if there are things inside there that are going to fly apart when the cover is removed.

Also, there is a connector on the back of the cluster that I cannot seem to get removed. I did not want to start pulling and yanking and break something until I asked about it on here. The same connector is on the cluster that is in the truck now, and I cannot get that out either.

The attachment shows the component with the 2 wires connected to it. Is there a keyway that it needs to be lined up to to be able to remove it?
