I am lookin for door panels for my truck and I have seen alot of newer model ones and i dont see much of a difference besides a different door handle. would a 1980 model door panel fit if I just change door handles?

They physically will fit. There are differences in arm-rests and certain points where holes are drilled and screws need inserted for 'pressure-points' (Am I wording that right, guys?)

Case in point ... I have a 79' truck. I wanted the steel door panels from an earlier model (74'-75' I think it was) truck. I got them.
But, I needed the 'older' style door latches ... Armrests ... And I had to drill a couple holes in the door for different screw placements (No biggie .. The 'dimples' in the sheet metal are there, so no guessing as to where to drill..)

But, yeah, you can make it all work as long as ya got all the right parts..
