Anyone have one? I have a one that was ordered for a 3500 and was sent by mistake. Thinking of installing it in my 1500. I could atleast move empty trailers with it. Just curios if anyone has one and if they use it.

I have a gooseneck hitch on my 1977 Dodge W150. I used it on the road in the past, but now that I have a Dodge 2500, I only use it on the farm for moving hay, etc.

You could put one in, but a 1500 won't pull much of a gooseneck, considering many weight empty more then a 1500 can handle. If it works for you do it though.

Yeah I know it sounds silly. I have an 07 3500 drw that I tow with, so I really don't need it. I just have it laying around so I got to thinking why not. You are right about the empty trailer weight. I think my 48' flatbed weighs probably 8-9K. I've got a couple different horse trailer's in the same range or more. Maybe I need to think about airbags first or just forget the hole thing and try to sell the hitch
