In this morning's paper, Addy's Harbor Dodge in Myrtle Beach, SC is advertising a $10,000 rebate on all '07 Dodge Ram Quad Cabs. That's double the factory rebate quoted in Edmunds.

I dont like the 07 taillights. Im quite happy with my brand new 06.

yea i very happy with my 06 as well, and i agree, the 07 tail lights are awful!

Only 5K was advertised when we just bought our new 07, but the dealer came back with a number just over 10K off MSRP on the first price negotiation. Dodge is hurting to move vehicles, like everyone else pretty much, and the 10K off is easy to get without the advertisment.

Addy's is always putting that price in are Myrtle Beach paper,Thats why we have a lot of rams running around here.Its a good thing. :D

This is not a $10K rebate. That is the dealer applying a $5K rebate along with another $5K discount from the MSRP.

People have to stop looking at these in reference to the MSRP... tat is a price thrown out of the factory and dealerships backside.

Here's what matters:

Dealer's INVOICE price
Factory incentives
Hold back from factory to dealer.

If you offer $1K BELOW invoice and then apply the $5K rebate, you'll most likely be at or below the advertised price.

Dealerships will inflate the "Dealer asking price" and then apply a MONSTER deal off of that, but in the end... you can usually do better.

Just my experience.

I bought my truck from there in 04. They drove over 300 miles to my house with my truck for $100. Did the whole trade over the phone sight unseen by them. They drove my trade back.

Wow thats some service! I assume you didnt want to deal with the dealers around us here in Syracuse....

I bought my 07 SLT QC with the hemi on 1-06-07, they came off the $33000 sticker,and put aftermarket leather seats for just under 24000. I also get 9.95 oil changes as long as I own the truck.

what some shifty dealerships do is put an ad out that says "amazing deal on 07 trucks" and then when you go look at their 07 trucks they say "oh, that deal was for one vehicle we had but it just sold, so why dont you come look at one of these over here"

its all advertising to get pepole in the showroom

. . . . which is called "bait and switch" and it's illegal. They tried that with my truck. I had an ad for one price and when I talked to them it was suddenly higher. So I pulled out the ad and showed him. "Oh, uh, I'll have to check if we can still do that price." Of course, this meant war. I worked my deal for 5 hours and it was so good, it was worth more than I paid 2 years later.

If you look at the bottom print it says "3 or so at this price"
Which I think is bull ish!

Read my post again, carefully, guys. The add said: "$10,000 off ALL '07 quad cabs." Not trying to defend them or flame them....just telling you what the add said.
