On the street with my 305/40/22's my truck has no problems shifting when its suppose to with what i have programmed in SC. I do have a shift kit and the shifts are nice and firm and never late. However when i bolt on the MT 295/45/17's, remove cutout and install shortbelt i get a half ass shift into 2nd at the track. I have tried everything from correct tire height in SC and lowering the shift points and leaving it in Drive to manual shifting and still does the same thing. Just wondering if any of you guys have had this problem and how you solved it. I also have 456's. any help is greatly appreciated and all are welcome.. BUT NO FIGHTING!! :cool:

not at the track. on the street on 22's its a really fast shift but early at like 5700. total diferent truck without SC.

I'm serious though...Its only the guys with 4.56's and shorter tires that seem to be having this problem. sawcut64, utfan, 06rahhemi, daytona ryder, etc...

All these guys have the same problem of hitting the limiter and all of them have 4.56's. Is it more than just a coincidence?? I think that the computer is just too dumb to keep up with the 4.56's. 3.92's are subtle enough that it can hold its own, but it revs too fast with the 4.56's for our troubled computers.

its not fully hitting the rev limiter though thats whats funny about it. it revs pauses shifts pauses then goes. by this time the rpm's have dropped and it has to regain momentum..
headin to the track in an hour so hopefully i can get it to shift..

got to make 1 pass last night and still got the same 1-2 shift. truck pulled hard up top as usual and went 14.18 at 97.01..

was some bullshit i got there at 815 and didnt get to make my pass til 1115. they had some preliminary bracket racing goin on and a few bad wrecks. a Mustang hit the wall at like 130 mph around the 1000' mark. wasnt pretty.. there was a single cab Tundra sprayin 100 shot running 12.90's which was pretty cool. Met a guy in a Magnum from the lx forums running a hellfire that went 12.60. :rck: he said the diablo is badass and had it piggybacked with a psc. learned a few things but am still highly pissed i only got 1 run in.

Good job Ricky!! :tup: You just past up Randy again, he's at Ennis today not doing so well....traction issues. He should be at my house soon to put my DR's on and go back to see what he can do.

badass ricky hopefully ill really try to get me truck running good cause next friday its gonna be a low of 47* do i see 13.99 in a stock cammed quad mds

on a perfect pass i think it will do it. ad stock cammed mds quad to your comment.. ;)

When I just went to the track, I was running short belt and 275/40R17 DRs and would hit the rev limiter every time on my 1-2 shift. Never did end up lowering the shift but was still able to pull a 14.1. Nice times though. You should def be able to pull a 13.xx time slip. I am shooting for one next time I go back.

I also forgot to unplug the alt to see if that made a difference.
