06 20"s on a 71 f100

put my 06 20"s on my recently aquired 71 f-100 with a 72 429 out of some other ford of 1972, gave 600 dollars for the truck. it had 2 bent pushrods, and blowed out wheel cylinders. had to do a little bit of grinding on the rims and the front brake drums and add some spring spacers in the front, back went right on. any one know if i can get some plain center caps for the 06 20"s so it dont have the ram on it

Looks good!
yea this is my first ford not a short box but i like it and the 429 has a lot of potential
Check the ebay sellers. I am not 100% sure but the knock off SRT 22"S and 20"s have blank center caps. If they are the same size, I would see if you can purchase some off those guys on ebay.

Dang, that thing looks sweet! With the 429, you'll be able to roast hemi's.
$600?? Thats a pretty sweet deal man-
just hope i can get a tag for it the guy said it had a lean on the title in texas but the place the lean was at went out of business 10 yrs ago, he had the truck for 5 or 6 yrs but never fixed it just keep it under a pole barn
Buy a salvage truck and switch VIN plates and you're good to go.

Don't do that. It is a felony.
interesting and looks pretty cool, i ask awhile back (i believe here) and for sure on a ford forum (i have a gen 1 lightning also and of course a ram) anyways it was about dodge rims going on a ford ( i heard they were the same bolt pattern) looks like it works, i really never got a definite answer and most said it should but hub size on the rims or truck might matter, looking at them pics...makes me want to try...i have 3 sets of ram wheels (srt 22's, 06 chrome 20's, and older style 20's) i think the only one that would look good would be the 06's (like u did) dont look bad at all, and sorry....but not sure on where to get caps....ironically i use to have a black on black 71 f100 also, it had a 302, i am curious if i will have to do any grinding etc...on a 95 lightning, i hope they just bolt right up....i guess no way of knowing for sure unless i just do it...more curious then anything...if anyone knows for sure please let me know (and no intent of hi jacking thread)

Talk about drive it like you stole it....:drivingz:

And yes don't do that. If you are caught doing that you are guilty of at least fraud in most states.
I guess there are no rubbing/clearance issues? That looks really good.
The only way to make a ford look good...put dodge parts on it lol. Now put an '06 ram grill on it and the wing from a Ram daytona...
lol
nah it was well worth 600 dollars , we did have to cut about 2 inches out of the bed and bend the fenders over to clear the rims, and for the lightning i really have no clue, the front had to be grond were the taper is to widen it up i was not woried about it being out of alighnmet because i just bought some coanical seat with a .300 of an inch shank lug nuts
To clear a lien on a title, someone would to sign off on it
If nobody is there anymore you will never get it cleared
I bought a boat with a lein on it, had to mail the title to
a bank 100 miles away It was clear, just never signed off
The salvage thing is your only choice now, its only illegal
if you get caught :thatfunny
