My original battery died and I changed it out. When I started the van, an error message appeared on the CD/DVD (six disc) player. I can put a CD in the player but it immediately rejects. The DVD player will not take a DVD, as the player searches at van startup for a DVD, and after finding none, 3 of the channel lights flash alternately and an error message appears on the readout.

Does anyone know of a reset mechanism for the CD/DVD player? The radio continues to work

radio

You can try resetting the bcm gain by pulling the IOD fuse under the hood for a couple minutes . Also heard of changing the battery can blowout the radio if it was left turned on when the battery was replaced, hopefully not. You may have to take it to the dealer they actually look at these with a drb III scan tool and maybe they can reset something. you are not alone !!!!

CD works! Halfway there!

I pulled and inserted the IOD fuse and the CD player now works! The DVD still exhibits the same symptoms.

Thanks for the advice. Halfway there.
