Lately I've had a whine coming from the engine compartment. It whines when I rev the enigne in Park and it whines as I accelerate. It sounds like it's coming from the serpentine belt area. Bearings?

Ideas?

I actually think it comes from the alternator , had this same problem and it sounds like it comes from the alternator . don't think it necessarily means there is anything wrong for reason they get noisy as they older .
