Theres this grinding noise coming from the transmission transfer case area.It grinds when i really get down on it.Now i have a remanufactured trnasfer case,but im not too sure about it.But,does a tranny make noise at all if something aint right?Ive never owned a dodge,but i have threw a few trannys,and ive never heard one grind before,truck power is great,but its just that noise,help.

Is it a grinding or a humming/whining? Is it only in 4wd, or all the time? Stupid questions I know, but it should be asked.
Most all trucks like ours that I've seen have a humming from the t-case.

Well,its not really a humming,more liek a scraping grinding,and only when its in 2H and i stomp on it.But,when i put it in 4L it doesnt do it.

Good on fluid,it does it in 2 high,im sure itll do it in 4 H

Sorry for butting in, but I'm obsessed with noises right now since my transmission and transfer case were both rebuilt recently. Mine is still making the noise. It sounds kind of like when you run over those rumble strips on the side of the road at around 30-40 mph. Is that how yours sounds? There is also vibration you can feel under the floorboard.

I dont knowmine is a scraping noise or grinding high pitched.Yes,theres a little vibration,i think its from my tires
