Purchased in summer of 1989. Slant six no frills truck with a NP435 transmission.Truck was for sale in a field. It was a state forestry truck from Oglethorpe County GA. Some one put a smaller truck landscape bed on it. I bought it and got it home. Had some modifications done to the bed so I would stop grinding the tires on the bed frame. It came with rails all around.
I wanted another 73 like my first truck, love the hood. I sanded it down and painted it OD green then camouflaged it, stayed this way for a long time. Swapped engine for a 318 and repainted it tan. I used it daily for work. For the past ten years has sat. ow I want to drive it again and I am determined to have it road worthy again.
