That truck looks tough. I think as long as it's just for show and you don't go thrashing it in the mud and off roading a 1500 will be fine. the front end parts tierods and ball joints are going to catch hell but if you just be easy on it and put in some gears she will be ok

That's what I was thinking. Moog makes good ball joints, I've seen aftermarket beefier upper control arms and tierods, so if I go 40s that would be also on the to do list. I'm just glad to have seen it done.

what happens when u hit a bump? i would think the hemi would have a hard time motoring those big ass tires. IMO ud be better off buying a cummins and put 40's on it and get 20-25 mpg and have around 600 hp. my brother had a 8.5" lift on his f350 and only have 38s on it and it looked huge, i cant imagine a hemi that big.

I run 35's with my 4.7L with no problems. Still can get 15mpg highway. Keeps up with the brother in laws 5.4 Triton. And that truck looks wicked. I would love to run tires that big. There is a guy around me with a RCSB Skyjacker lift, BL, and has to have atleast 37's on it.

In the pic on the ad it looks like the same size tires as in the post above but theres no gap between the frame and bed in the rear where the BL would be.

Nice looking truck but i dont like the theme it gives off for some reason. just seams like things dont flow really well on it like it should.
Since hes never takin it off road I bet it rubs like hell with any kind of flex. Those tires are so close to the fenders already and they are wider than the arc opening so i know they would hit and eat them up.

I knew that. black trucks are better! :rck:........:D

just remember. You actually use your truck. so itll take some fabing and fender reconstructing to get 40's to fit and still be able to go offroad and not tear your front end off. ;)

yea that suspension would probly fold over if you went hardcore offroading with it

I bet the susp could take it much longer than the fenders and bed sides would. ;D

What lift-wise does that guy have done to fit 40's?

Just a 6" susp lift and a 3" bodylift. he doesnt have any articulation tho. its a street queen with that size tire on it without more lift.

All I have right now is cheapy e-bay CAI with a K&N filter, Throttle body spacer, powerwire. I do have a Superchips to add. Just running my stock 3.92 gears. Highway I get around 15.2-15.5 MPG hand calculated.

no thanks. id spend the money you are going to save on the tires (and suspension fixes) and get a cummins or do some other mods
