OK guys...as most of you know, the Dodge trucks are at a huge weight disadvantage when compared to Chevy's, so we need to find any way possible to get some weight off our trucks at the track. If you have any tips or pointers to get your weight down, then post them here. I will start off with some of the weight reduction mods I can think off...
-no spare tire or jack
-no tailgate
-no front swaybar
-no washer fluid
-no passenger seat
-no windshield wipers
-no door handles
-no hitch
-Replace rear bumper with a rollpan
-1/8th tank of gas
-remove any and all trash in your truck
-lighter wheels/tires
-fibrglass body parts
-only run 6qts of oil
-go on a diet
-no center console
-Remove overload leafs
-lighter seats
-plexiglass windows
-almuinum driveshaft
-remove antenna
-carbon fiber hood
oh, and the overloads. i am gonna leave for now. cause im gonna take alot of weight off the back end. i wanna keep some on the tires. the springs are unsprung. so it is uneffected by negative weight transfer, so its on the tires no matter what.
y not just take off all the body panels and the whole body!! your motor will run cooler at least
